Two men from Quebec are facing charges after they were allegedly caught stealing used cooking oil from an Ontario restaurant.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, police were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle outside a restaurant in Embrun, Ont.

Police say their investigation revealed two men were stealing oil from the business.

Jimmy Pardalis, 39, and Albert Manoukian, 46, were arrested and charged with theft, possession property obtained by crime and trespassing.

Ontario Provincial Police says they have received at least two complaints that cooking oil was going missing from disposal bins outside local businesses.

Restaurants are being urged to check their supplies of used cooking oil and come forward if any has gone missing.
