Lucas’ aunt, Jacquie Thomas says, “There are no words to erase the pain and the hole that Lucas’ passing has left.” Jacquie gave a eulogy highlighting the 10-year-old’s interests and hobbies. She says the active child loved Lego, team board games, and building toy cars.
Lucas was in the car with his mother Rosalie and twin brother Ethan when another vehicle struck them on the QEW Niagara. The trio was sent to hospital and Lucas died later that evening. A GoFundMe page was launched to help support the family and it has exceeded expectations. The page has raised over $30,000.
Pastor Matt Tapley says Lucas’ parents Rob and Rosalie continue to grieve privately. Tapley says, “…they’ve really expressed the overwhelming sense of the support of the community.”
