Memorial for Brampton shooting victim

A memorial was held today for 9-year old Kesean Williams. He died last Thursday after being hit by a bullet that came through his living room window while he was watching TV in his Brampton home.

A tribute with flowers and stuffed animals was set up outside the family’s home on Ardglen Drive as over 100 people, including family members and school mates, gathered to remember the young boy and to comfort each other. The principal of Sir Winston Churchhill Public School, where Kesean has been attending classes since last September, was among the speakers at the memorial.

Kesean’s Godmother said the his mother was unable to attend the memorial but “sends her love and appreciation to all who have been supporting her.”

A viewing for Kesean will be held this Wednesday, January 30th and Thursday, January 31st between 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.

His funeral will be held on Friday, February 1st at 10:00 am at Bay Gardens on 947 Rymal Road East in Hamilton.

Peel police are continuing to investigate the shooting. No suspects have been arrested so far.
