Memorial bench stolen
People in Hamilton’s Westdale neighbourhood are on the search for a stolen bench.
It was a memorial for a girl who died of leukemia.
Lauren Packer was diagnosed in September 2004 when she was eight.
She had several chemotherapy treatments at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, and later had a stem cell transplant at Toronto Sick Kids.
Lauren died three years ago.
Her family put up the bench in her memory, but it was stolen a couple of Fridays ago.
There are posters up looking for it.
