McMaster welcome day

McMaster University had its welcome day Friday. It allowed new students and their families to attend information sessions about life both inside and outside the classroom.

“Oh, it’s so important. It’s a chance for students to get acquainted with our campus, support they can access throughout the year, meet new people, meet new students on campus, meet upper-years. Yeah, it’s really just a way to get acquainted with all the greats things Mac has to offer.”

“We have over 2,000 students registered and each student is bringing about a person and a half, so we’re seeing somewhere between 4,000 and 4,500 students and parents today.”

Students were able to attend workshops about taking effective study notes, the transition from high school, time management and even on personal finances.
