McMaster to pause mask mandate starting tomorrow

Following expert advise, McMaster University says it is pausing its mask mandate starting Wednesday, June 1.

Masks will be no longer required in indoor settings including classrooms, libraries and close workspaces. However, the university says it still strongly encourages wearing masks.

Free Level 3 surgical masks are available at several locations, including in the Campus Store.

The vaccine policy at McMaster had already been paused and will remain on hold until the end of the summer term.
