McMaster suspends two faculty members amid sexual misconduct investigation

Two McMaster University faculty members have been suspended amid an ongoing investigation into sexual misconduct.
Scott Watter, an associate professor in the department of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour, was suspended by the school in February.
Hamilton Police laid charges of sexual assault and sexual assault causing bodily harm in June.
The university launched its own investigation, encouraging anyone with concerns or information to reach out.
“We have received more complaints in the last few days and two additional faculty members in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour have now been suspended and are no longer allowed on campus,” said McMaster University President David Farrar in a statement.
Farrar says the investigation is being broadened to identify potential systemic or cultural issues within the department.
