McMaster opens new $26M auto lab

McMaster University celebrated the grand opening of their new automotive resource centre.

The brand new $26 million facility will be home to hundreds of researchers, students, and industry professionals studying the future of transportation. There are also hopes that this investment will move Hamilton into the forefront of green automotive technology development.

Gary Goodyear, federal economic development minister called it “a world leading opportunity, and you should be very proud to have this in your area. MARC will envision and prototype the next generation of vehicles.”

Goodyear also talked about the importance of job creation in Canada, and how the government’s economic action plan aims to encourage the type of innovation that will take place at the facility.
