McMaster Open House

Class was in session for thousands of high school students and their parents today at McMaster University’s open house.

Prospective students had a chance to learn about the program they are interested in, and tour campus before making the big decision. Lecture rooms filled with high school students and their parents.

About 9,000 people attended today’s open house. A chance for parents and high school students to get more information about the school and programs before the time comes to apply.

Parents and prospective students alike have come to todays open house to have many questions and concerns addressed.

Cost is a big factor for students, especially for those who have come from out of town and are planning to live in residence.

Second year Mac students helping out today know first hand.

McMaster’s website has a cost calculator, for example, a full time business student living on campus first year would cost over $22,000 alone.

Despite concerns about price of post secondary education, some have already made up their mind.

There will be another open house in the spring.
