The son of Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion is facing at least 50 charges for allegedly not filing his taxes for the last nine years. Peter McCallion, 60, is accused of not filing corporate or personal income tax returns since 2004.

The real estate agent is best remembered for his failed business dealings that led to a conflict of interest hearing against his mother in 2010. The case against the mayor was dismissed in June.

If her son is found guilty, he could face a maximum fine of $25,000 and 12 months in jail on each count.
