Hamilton mayor tests negative for Covid-19

Fred Eisenberger has tested negative for COVID-19. Hamilton’s mayor experienced symptoms of the virus last Thursday and underwent a nasal swab test on Friday. In the meantime he isolated at home.
In an interview with CHCH News on Sunday Eisenberger described the test as “a little uncomfortable with a swab going half-way to your brain, but it really wasn’t that bad”.
This afternoon the mayor’s office confirmed the negative test result adding “The mayor would like to thank everyone who sent well wishes over the past few days and would also like to remind the public that this virus is in our community and we must remain vigilant in maintaining physical distancing, practicing good hygiene such as handwashing and adhering to all public health recommendations.”
