Mayor steps down from PSB

It’s been an odd year for the Hamilton Police Services Board, and the latest twist took place Wednesday. Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina has resigned as chair of the Police Services Board. He says he stepped down in order to reach out to the family of Steve Mesic, the man shot dead in an altercation with police in June. But his decision has been met with mixed reaction, particularly from Mesic’s family.
