Matthews tours overhauled Juravinski
For more than four years the former Henderson hospital on Hamilton Mountain has undergone a massive redevelopment, and now it’s complete.
Hospital officials, and politicians were on hand to tour the re-named Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. The project added more than 450,000 square feet of space, increasing capacity from 234 to 338 beds. Health minister Deb Matthews was at the ceremony to thank those involved in the project and those who serve the Hamilton area.
The state-of-the-art redeveloped hospital finished on budget, with a price tag of nearly $250-million.
