Matthews back on hot seat at Ornge inquiry

Updated Strong words from the province’s health minister today, who came close – but stopped just short of calling the former CEO of Ornge a liar.

Deb Matthews was back in front of a legislative committee today. It’s looking into the growing scandal at the air ambulance service which used hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to make questionable business deals.

When he finally testified, former CEO Chris Mazza told the committee he kept the health minister in the loop. But Matthews claims the troubled air ambulance service went rogue.

Al Sweeney reports the committee asked Matthews back to try and clear up the contradiction.
