Massive rally planned for Grimsby hospital May 2
Supporters of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital are planning a rally in hopes of restarting the suspended rebuild project.
Plans to demolish the antiquated hospital and build a new medical facility are now on hold after the $136.8 million project was cancelled in the provincial budget.
Millions have already been spent on upgrades.
Supporters of the rebuild are staging a massive rally on May 2, starting at 7:30 pm, at Grimsby Secondary School.
That’s the site of a prior rally for the hospital back in 1997, when thousands showed up after the province threatened to close it down.
