Toronto’s iconic music venue Massey Hall is holding a literal seat sale.

The venue is being decommissioned at the end of the month as part of an $8 million revitalization project, which is expected to take two years.

The project will include improving amenities and accessibility, the opening of two new music venues and the return of the original, 124 year-old stained glass windows.

A limited number of the iconic auditorium seats will be available for purchase, in addition to the original wooden seat backs from the gallery level.

The seats will be available online for $1,000 a piece starting noon Monday.

Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot will perform on June 29 and 30 before the venue closes its doors.

Massey Hall celebrated its 124th birthday on Thursday.
