Today marks the start of a four-day celebration in Great Britain.

It’s a celebration that’s only happened once before, when Queen Victoria reached her sixtieth year on the throne. Queen Elizabeth the second’s Diamond Jubilee may not have the same fanfare here in Southern Ontario this weekend as it will in England. But as Lisa Hepfner reports, for many it is just as joyous an occasion.
