Mark Saunders to become Toronto Police Chief

Toronto has a new Police Chief.
Numerous reports say that Deputy Chief Mark Saunders will officially be named the new Chief at a news conference scheduled for 10 this morning. He will become the first black person to hold the job. Saunders will replace Chief Bill Blair, who is retiring at the end of this week.
Saunders has been with Toronto Police for 32 years, and is currently in charge of special operations where he oversees 1,200 officers and 154 civilians.
