Hamilton Tiger-Cats linebacker Ray Mariuz is hanging up his cleats after eight seasons in the CFL.

The Mississauga native played university ball at McMaster before beginning his CFL career in Toronto.

He played three years with Toronto, capturing a Grey Cup with the Argos in 2004, before signing with the Tiger-Cats in 2006 where he spent the final five seasons of his career.

He was nominated as the Ticats Most Outstanding Canadian in 2008.

His 76 special teams tackles as a Ticat are the sixth-highest total in team history.
