Marineland protestor fined $10,000

The man at the centre of protests against Marineland has less than a month to pay the amusement park $10,000.

The founder of Marineland Animal Defense, Dylan Powell, has organized countless demonstrations at the park.

The judge says Marineland was forced to file an injunction after Powell refused to comply with conditions that banned him from disrupting Marineland employees and using megaphones.

The $10,000 fine is to cover Marineland’s legal costs. Powell said he was shocked by the judge’s decision.
