Marijuana and weapons seized in Hamilton

Hamilton Police have seized more than $10,000 worth of marijuana, and multiple firearms from an east end home in the city.

Police searched the home and found more than one hundred marijuana plants, ten vials of hash oil and a number of prescription pills.

They also found a semi-automatic firearm, a bolt action rifle, and a pump action shotgun with ammunition for all the weapons.

41-year old Brian Beauchamp was arrested and is being held for a bail hearing. He faces multiple charges including possession of a prohibited firearm. A second man was released on a promise to appear.
