Man wanted after fatal stabbing in St. Catharines

An attempted murder charge has been upgraded to second-degree murder after a man who was seriously injured in a stabbing in St. Catharines last week died in hospital.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing just before 4:30 a.m. at a home on Niagara Street, between Church Street and Welland Avenue, where they found a man with serious stab wounds.
Paramedics transported 56-year-old Victor Clayton to a local medical facility, where he died from his injuries Tuesday morning.
Niagara police say Rohan Chandler is wanted for second-degree murder and failure to comply with probation.
Police have confirmed that he and the victim are known to each other.
Anyone with video or dash camera footage or information relating to the incident is urged to contact the authorities.
