Man wanted in murder outside Hamilton shelter arrested by police

Hamilton police say a 23-year-old man wanted in connection with a murder outside a local shelter has been arrested.

Police say Jheidohn Serieaux was arrested in Brantford on Sunday.

He was wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 31-year-old Christopher Sim.

Sim was found suffering from stab wounds in the parking lot of Mission Services on James St. North around 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 8.

Detectives previously said Sim was “completely ambushed” and unable to defend himself from the attack.

Hamilton police say Serieaux has been transported to Hamilton and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
