UPDATE: Niagara police say man wanted in Jordan campground stabbing arrested

Niagara police say they have arrested a man wanted in a stabbing at a campground in Jordan.
Officers were called to the Big Valley Campground at 2211 King St. in Jordan around 5 a.m. Sunday.
There was an argument between two people which led to a fight and stabbing.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and was last seen in the Hamilton area.
Omar Baxter, 41, of St. Catharines has been charged with:
- Assault by choking
- Theft under $5,000
- Two counts of uttering threats
- Forcible confinement
- Assault
- Attempted murder
- Assault with a weapon
- Mischief under $5,000
- Failure to comply with probation
Police say this was a targeted incident.
