Man wanted for assault and forcible confinement may be in Hamilton, Niagara

Police are searching for a 34-year-old man wanted by both the Hamilton Police Service and Niagara Regional Police Service.

Derrick MacDonald is wanted for assault, forcible confinement and three counts of fail to comply with probation.

He is wanted in Hamilton in connection with an assault investigation dating back to November 2019 and being sought by Niagara police on an outstanding warrant.

Police say they have been trying to track down MacDonald for five months but have not been able to locate him.

He is believed to be in the Hamilton area or Niagara Region.

Police are advising residents not to approach him but call 911 if you see him.
