Man wanted after 9 Thorold house break-ins, thefts

Police are searching for a man accused of breaking into nine homes in Thorold since late last month.
Niagara police say the man allegedly forced his way into homes through open doors and stole an unspecified amount of jewelry, watches and other personal items.
Investigators say the thefts occurred during the day when residents were not home.

Damage to the homes is estimated at more than $3,000.
Officers are now looking for a man between the ages of 35 and 40. He was wearing a black “Crooks and Castle” hooded sweatshirt and a grey baseball hat at the time of the incidents.
