A St. Catharines man is wanted for aggravated assault following a dispute over a face mask.

Officers were called to the KFC on Hartzel Rd. for a stabbing call around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Niagara police say two men were inside the restaurant when they got into an argument over how one of them was wearing his mask.

The argument escalated and one of the men, a man in his 20s, was stabbed. He was taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they’ve identified the man who stabbed him.
