Man stabbed in Gibson apartment

A 20-year-old Hamilton man is in custody following a stabbing in the Gibson neighbourhood.

Officers were responding to an unrelated call at 150 Sanford Ave. N, when they received information about a disturbance in the building, police said.

A middle-aged man had been stabbed in the upper body by another man.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is now in stable condition, police said.

The accused is in custody.
