Man stabbed at the Eaton Centre

It was a dramatic scene at the Eaton Centre yesterday as bystanders witnessed a confrontation that led to a man being stabbed five times with a steak knife.

The man in his 20’s was taken to hospital fighting for his life after the stabbing.

Toronto police were called to the mall around 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Police say the man was found on the lower level by HMV and tried to flee but collapsed.

Officers arrested the man they say is responsible nearby on Yonge Street. He’s in custody and the knife was located.
