Man sought in connection with 3 robberies in Niagara Region

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who is wanted in connection with three robberies.
Police say the incidents happened in Fort Erie and Niagara Falls all within a few hours on Monday.
Officers were called to the Pioneer gas station at 191 Garrison Rd. in Fort Erie around 3 a.m.
Police learned a man had entered the store and demanded cash from an employee. He fled with a small amount of store merchandise.
The suspect was described as being white with a clean-shaven face, between 30 and 40 years old and was wearing a red bandana, a red and white New York Giants baseball cap, black gloves and a black and grey striped jacket.
Police say a man with a similar description but was wearing a red jacket walked into the Flying J truck stop at 1637 Petitt Rd. at 3:20 a.m. He demanded cash from a store clerk but fled empty-handed. The suspect was seen getting into the passenger side of an awaiting vehicle parked outside the Flying J.
Just over an hour later, police were called to a similar robbery at the Petro Canada at 7307 Oakwood Dr. in Niagara Falls.
Detectives believe the same person is responsible for all three incidents. They say the vehicle used to flee the areas was a stolen grey 2013 Dodge Journey with license plate BWLJ367.
Anyone with information that could help police with the investigation is asked to contact 905-688-4111, ext. 1009369.
