Man seriously injured while crossing Bridge Street in Niagara Falls

A Niagara Falls man has life-threatening injuries after being struck while crossing the street Monday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Bridge St. and 6th Ave. in Niagara Falls around 6 p.m.

They say a 19-year-old man was driving eastbound on Bridge St. when he hit a man who was crossing the street at 6th Ave.

The 55-year-old pedestrian was treated at the scene by paramedics. He was then airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the investigation in ongoing.
