Man on parole arrested for stunt driving, speeding in Hamilton

A 25-year-old parolee has been arrested after a driver was caught going 64 kilometres over the posted speed limit in Hamilton.

Police pulled over a Ford pickup truck that was travelling at a high rate of speed on Sunday morning.

Officers clocked the pickup going 114 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

The driver was arrested and charged with speeding and stunt driving. Police discovered the Hamilton man was on parole and contacted the appropriate agencies.

His license was suspended and vehicle was seized for seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 27.
