Man killed in single-vehicle crash on Main Street West in Hamilton

A man has died after crashing his vehicle in Hamilton’s west end Sunday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. at Main St. W and Whitney Ave.

Reports from the scene suggest the driver hit a pole and a parked vehicle.

The driver died from his injuries. Police say a 72-year-old man was behind the wheel.

The intersection was closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene.

It’s not clear what led to the crash. Police say they haven’t ruled out any contributing factors.
