Man in hospital with life-threatening injuries after Brantford shooting

Brantford police say a man was taken to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries after an early morning shooting.

Officers received a report of a shooting that happened on Monday around 6:30 a.m. outside a Hampton St. address.

Upon arrival, the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital.

Officers are currently on scene to continue with the investigation.

Police say this is not believed to be a random incident, and ask residents in the area to check any video surveillance between 6 a.m. and 6:40 p.m.
