Man hospitalized after east Hamilton stabbing

A man in his fifties is in hospital after he was stabbed this morning in east Hamilton.

It happened just after 4:30 am in the area of Main St E at Cope. Police searched the area, but didn’t find any other victims.

The man’s injuries are not considered life threatening, and police are hoping he can provide them with more information about the stabbing after he receives medical treatment.

Police say a trail of blood started on Tragina avenue, but the man was able to walk to Main and Cope, where he flagged a taxi driver for help. No arrests have been made, but police are investigating.
