Man hops over counter, steals cash in Burlington bank robbery

Halton police are searching for a man in his early twenties in connection with a bank robbery in Burlington.
Officers were called to the Scotiabank branch on New St. shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say the thief ordered the tellers to open their tills and then he proceeded to jump over the counter and grab the cash.
Investigators say no weapons were seen and no one was injured during the incident.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the bank.
Police say the man was wearing a black ski mask over his face, and a hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves and red lettering up and down the arms. He was also wearing dark coloured pants, dark coloured shoes, black gloves and was carrying a small black canvas bag.
Police say the suspect fled the bank on foot and then got inside an awaiting older style brown, Buick Regal being driven by another person.
