Man found in the street was attacked

Hamilton police say a man found unconscious and badly hurt on Barton Street in the city, was attacked.

The man is in critical condition in a local hospital.

Paramedics say he suffered head injuries after being found lying in the street, near Sherman Avenue early Monday morning.

Anyone who may have seen what happened or knows anything concerning the attack is urged to give Hamilton police a call.
