Man flees from St. Joseph’s hospital, Hamilton police warn ‘Do not approach him’

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who fled from St. Joseph’s Hospital West 5th campus in Hamilton.

Minho Lee, 39, is currently an involuntary patient at the hospital.

Police say he was on a supervised walk with staff around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday when he fled on foot. He was last seen in the area of West 5th St. and Brantdale Ave.

Police say Lee is unlawfully at large and wanted on a warrant of committal.

They say without his medication, he is “at a greater risk to public.”

Lee is described as being five-foot-eleven, 140 lbs, with a thin build, brown eyes, and shaved black hair. He was wearing a beige mid-length coat, dark pants and white shoes with green laces.

Police are warning residents not to approach Lee. If you see him, call 911.
