Man dies in hospital after vehicle crashes into tree in NOTL

A man has died in hospital after his vehicle crashed into a tree early Wednesday morning in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Police say the collision happened around 5 a.m. in the area of Lakeshore and Four Mile Creek roads.

Investigators say the man was driving a grey Audi westbound on Lakeshore Road when it struck a tree.

Paramedics transported him to hospital, where he later died.

Police’s collision reconstruction unit is now investigating.
