Man dies in Dundas house fire
Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office will be in Dundas this morning to determine the cause of a raging overnight house fire that killed a man.
Firefighters were called to a house that was fully engulfed in flames and heavy smoke on Hatt street just before three o’clock this morning.
Neighbours warned emergency response crews that someone was likely inside the house.
During a preliminary search, firefighters were forced to evacuate the building after a floor collapsed. After re-entering the house, a body was found inside without vital signs.
The estimate of damage and the cause are under investigation.
