Some local commuters told CHCH News that while the attack was scary and jarring, the general sentiment is that the GO system is rather safe.
“I try to make sure I’m around crowds of people so that if anything happens people are around and can give me a hand,” one person told CHCH News.
“I’ll be keeping my headphones out and staying by cameras and lighter areas if I can,” says another local commuter.
Constable Anderson says to riders to “keep an eye out when travelling.”
The accused is being was held in custody by police pending a bail hearing in Milton.
