Man charged in Ottawa package scare

A 45-year-old man from Toronto has been charged with uttering threats and mischief following yesterday’s evacuation of an Ottawa building that houses the Prime Minister’s Office.

A package the size of a briefcase was found inside the building, which was evacuated and streets closed while police investigated.

Mohamoud Jimale appeared in an Ottawa court this morning.
