A 35-year-old man from the Woodstock area is facing charges after a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and tractor.

It happened just before 9 p.m. on Monday on Lucknow Line just south of Dungannon.

Police say a “heavily damaged” pickup truck had collided with the back of a farm tractor that was hauling a gravity bin loaded with beans.

Officers believed the pickup driver may be impaired and administered a roadside sobriety test. The driver was arrested after he failed the test and was taken to the police station for further testing.

Police say the man provided two samples of his breath to the Intoxilizer Technician and both samples registered over the legal limit.

Travis Bakker was charged with impaired driving and drive motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

His vehicle was towed from the scene and was been impounded for one week. His driver’s licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days.
