Man charged after crash killing 12-year-old: Brant OPP

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Brant County have charged a 26-year-old man in connection with a fatal collision that happened in February.
Emergency crews responded to Oakland Rd. for a two-vehicle crash shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.
Officers said one person remains in critical condition at a hospital and another person succumbed to her injuries. Twelve-year-old Sierra Beverly died after being transported to a hospital.
Paramedics also brought four occupants to a hospital. Two had life-threatening injuries and two others were released with minor injuries.

On April 11, police charged Darris James Wilson of Brant County with five offences, including operation causing death and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
Wilson is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Officers are continuing to investigate.
