Man assaulted in alleyway on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police are looking for multiple suspects after a man was badly beaten and robbed on Hamilton Mountain.

Police responded to reports of an assault in the back alley of New Style Jewelry at 586 Concession Street just before 5 p.m. yesterday.

Officers searched the area and found evidence, including blood, in the alleyway.

Police then received a second call from someone who saw a man with serious injuries at an address a couple of blocks away.

The victim was located and taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspects stole jewelry the man was wearing when he was beaten.

Police do not have any suspect descriptions at this time but believe multiple people were involved in the attack.
