Man arrested in connection with stabbing in St. Catharines

Niagara police say a man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in St. Catharines.

On Monday, Aug 22, police were called to the area of Albert and Lake Streets. Paramedics were treating a man with serious stab wounds. He was transported to a trauma hospital where he remains in serious bus stable condition.

Police say the man has been involved in an altercation at a nearby residence, during which he remains in serious but stable condition.

Shortly after, police identified and arrested a man. 48-year-old Robert Stockwell of St. Catharines is facing charges of aggravated assault.
