Two men sought in stabbing near Hamilton’s Farmers’ Market

Hamilton police are looking for two men following a violent altercation in the downtown core.

Police were called to the area of York Blvd. and Park St. near the Farmers’ Market around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say three males were involved in an altercation.

Hamilton paramedics transported a 21-year-old man to hospital with stab wounds.

He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Hamilton police say he has since been released from hospital.

Officers initially arrested one person in the area, however, after further investigation they were released.

Police are now looking for two male suspects. They say one of the men was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt with a triangle logo.
