Man arrested following reports of shooting in St. Catharines

A 26-year-old man is facing charges following a shooting in St. Catharines on Sunday.
Niagara police responded to the area of Hamilton St. and Pelham Rd. after receiving reports of a gunshot around 8:15 p.m.
Investigators learned that two men had been involved in an altercation when one of the men pulled out a gun and fired it in the direction of the other man.
Officers located a the victim at the scene who was uninjured and the other was found a short time later near the scene.
Martin Phillip has been charged with pointing a firearm, discharge firearm with intent to endanger life and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Monday.
