Man, 67, dies nearly two weeks after being struck by vehicle during January snowstorm

A 67-year-old man died in hospital nearly two weeks after being struck by a vehicle on the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
Hamilton police say the man was travelling northbound on the parkway near Queenston Rd. around 6:40 a.m. on Jan. 17.
Police say the man exited his vehicle after it became stuck.
A vehicle also travelling northbound then struck the man and his vehicle.
The victim was transported to hospital where he died 12 days later.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene but was later identified by police.
Police have not said if charges have been laid.

This is the city’s second motor vehicle fatality of 2022.
