Man, 43, charged in series of daytime Oakville break-ins

Halton police have arrested a 43-year-old man following a series of daytime break-ins in Oakville.
Police were called to an address on Sixth Line after the suspect broke into a home through a basement window on Wednesday.
Officers say the suspect fled the scene without taking anything after being confronted by the resident in the basement.
Police attended the area and quickly found and arrested the suspect.
Investigators determined the suspect was also responsible for another two break-ins in the area of Sixth Line and McCraney St. earlier on Wednesday and one break-in on Trafalgar Rd. on Tuesday.

Johnathon Forgie, 43, of no fixed address has been charged with four counts of break and enter.
Police say in the additional three break-ins, Forgie entered the home through unlocked doors and stole jewellery, watches and wallets and was travelling through the area on a burgundy bicycle.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of any of the break-ins.
Police were able to recover multiple stolen items at the time of the arrest.
